Placement Stability Support

When things begin to feel unstable.

A note on language

In therapeutic parenting, language matters. Children often experience the word "placement" as impersonal.

Whenever possible, it can be more helpful to talk about where a child is living, their home, or their living situation. However, the word placement appears in this section for professional clarity.

There are times when behaviour becomes so intense that carers begin to worry about whether the living situation can continue safely.

This section helps you:

Recognise early warning signs
Stabilise situations where possible
Protect both safety and the relationship
Seek the right support at the right time

Feeling worried about stability does not mean you have failed. It means the situation may need more support.
